Heather has taken fundraising to new heights—literally—after successfully completing a thrilling Wing Walk challenge on 12 May 2026, all in support of men’s mental health charity ANDYSMANCLUB.
Strapped to the top of a plane and soaring 1,000 feet in the air at speeds of up to 140mph, Heather faced her fears head-on to raise funds for a cause close to her heart. Despite openly admitting a fear of falling, she stepped well outside her comfort zone—turning nerves into an incredible achievement.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of supporters, Heather not only completed the challenge but also smashed her fundraising target, raising an impressive £1,233.
The effort was supported by Purbeck UK, where Heather works in the claims team. Through her role, she regularly speaks with company directors facing significant financial pressures—situations that often impact personal finances, relationships, and mental health. This direct experience highlights the importance of organisations like ANDYSMANCLUB, which now runs over 320 weekly support groups nationwide, offering men a safe, judgement-free space to talk.
The charity continues to promote its powerful message—#ItsOkayToTalk—and works tirelessly to break the stigma around mental health.
A huge thank you has been extended to everyone who donated and supported Heather along the way. Whether contributing out of encouragement or simply for the spectacle of seeing her take on such a daring challenge, every donation has made a meaningful difference.
Although the Wing Walk itself is now complete, fundraising remains open. Additional contributions are still greatly appreciated and will help ANDYSMANCLUB continue delivering its essential services.
